Welcome – if you only have a minute or two, and want to understand the basics behind the On The Ball Theory, please read along — future posting will use this model as a foundation for terms, etc. In a nutshell, the theory stems from two assumptions (which I believe to be true), and a conclusion that provides the framework for the theory – enjoy!
If some people are “on the ball”, then there must be others who are not – and they can be divided into two groups…
Some people are aware that there is a “ball to be on”, and therefore there must be others who are not. They too can be divided into two groups…
As a result, the On The Ball Theory simply states that people must fall into one of these four groups
IF you know there is a ball to be on, and you are on it, that makes you a “1” – You are an ACHIEVER, on top of your game, and truly “on the ball”
IF you know there is a ball to be on, but for one reason or another you’re not quite on the ball, that makes you a “2” – you are a BELIEVER, and capable of getting “on the ball”
IF, somehow, you are “on the ball”, but don’t realize it, that makes you a “3” – and chances are you are a CONCEIVER, thinking of new ideas or redefining the ball for the rest of us
IF you don’t know there is a ball, and are not “on the ball”, then that makes you a “4” , and there may not be much hope for you. You are a RECEIVER, and are dependent on the 1’s and 2’s of the world to make it through the day
